« on: May 27, 2015, 09:30:41 am »
I just tillerd a pecan bow for my son.its about 50#@25" 60" long ttt but im gonna reduce the weight some.
my question is both tips have some helical one goes left the other right.the twist starts about 5" from the tip.will this give me any problem in the future? ive shot it about 6 times and it shoots sweet.

Pics showing the amount of twist would be helpful, but from your description it shouldn't be a problem.  As long as it's not trying to throw the string when you shoot it should be fine.  Josh

If the string bisects the handle u should be good. Minimal twist is acceptable in some bows.
Nothing ventured nothing gained

I agree minimal twist is not an issue,,, you can straighten it,, but it probably wont make it shoot better :)
