Bamboo works well with high elevation Yew, not so much with low elevation Yew which you have there. If you have any more of that then use a Hickory or Maple backing.
Well busted a deep recurve while bending. Wind check I could barely see. And my backer bowed up the wrong way.
. Lost my temper. Not certain surgery is worth it. May try.
Still have the sinew bow that cracked to heck! Repairs seem to be holding bu not that attractive.
Third one is maple backed shallower recurve. Then will raw hide back that. The yew is phenomenal wood, what ever the elevation......
