Same as the rest of the bow, Thunderbird bow finish.
Straight wood may make a better bow, but crooked wood makes a better bowyer

The bow I'm working on has buffalo horn nocks on so I've been researching this myself, I can't find the exact thread but I read somewhere that you need to seal with shellac before applying a oil based finish like tung oil.

Unlike the other guys I'm not writing from experience, so wouldn't just take my word on it, I would quite like some clarification on this matter also.

DaveMac, I think you are thinking about antler. Antler has a pithy center. If you don't seal that part first it will soak up the glue starving the glue joint.
Jodocus, if there are scratches in the horn you might want to sand them out. Other than that use whatever finish on your bow for the horn nocks.

Tung/Tru oil will flake off buff horn. Id suggest a coat of shellac first, Then whatever finish you chose over that.
