Were to get raw hide

I was wondering were does one get raw hide for bow backing

you can get goat rawhide from drum shops,,, a whole hide for about 20 dollars,, the thin is very nice,,

rawhide dog chews and bones are an easy source.  Local butcher shopAs well.

Tandy leather sells it in 3 foot strips 1.5 inches wide. Good quality, used it twice.

I buy while deer raw hides from my local leather store. I cut off strips as I need them

I've always made my own. It's pretty easy.
Straight wood may make a better bow, but crooked wood makes a better bowyer
