Tiller looks perfect to my eyes. Great work.  I like the two tone color as well.  When you say "fuming pipe" are you talking smoke or steam?

Happy Birthday!  That certainly looks to possess all the characteristics of a ideal osage hunting bow.

Did you post a similar osage bow a couple of years ago? One with very similar front profile and specs, but with deflex out of the handle rather than the gull-wing?  That was one of my favorites. Looked for it the other day, but couldn't seem to find the post.

Looks like this one s bending through those curves perfectly!

No secrets here ... I have none.
The fuming pipe is just a pvc pipe, 2m long, one end closed with a plastic bag and rubber band. The pipe stands on a pod filled with ammonia - the damp is the fume. a description of the process is here:

I feel honored you remeber that bow, Carson! The other was a bit longer and much heavier drawweight. I assume you have this bow in mind: http://www.primitivearcher.com/smf/index.php/topic,36225.msg476616.html#msg476616

I like this design very much and will test out a few variations:
- shorter with boo backing
- shorter and wider
- shorter, wider and semi bend handle

Couldn't forget that bow! That is one mean beast. I would like to try to make something similar someday. Looks like that other bow was only 1" longer, but 80#s!! :o

Simon, that's a fine birthday present you bestowed upon yourself.  Enjoy!  Yeah, I really like the two tone too and the light overlays.  Are they bone?  Great looking, graceful bow.
