Snakewood does NOT like dry heat correction. ..
I don't have a photo but it snapped in half very very cleanly. .

Have any pictures of what snake wood leaves look like. I think I know where some is but I get very mixed reviews on what it actually is.

Heya fellas,
Do a search for "white stopper". That should show you Snakewood.
Brian, yup, Twistedlimbs wrote an article on the wood and mentioned just the same, doesn't like heat corrections...
Oh well, on to the next thing! Call ya soon.

Alwayslookin... i may go chop another piece tomorrow. . I have a limb on my patio drying and you can see the bark. .. I'll get a photo of an actual tree if i go chopping..
Stuff is heavy heavy. .. dense. .. heated it and bent it to the position i wanted and as it cooled i heard snap. .. crackle. .. i un clamped it and then moved it back into position... POP...
Sighhhh. ..

ummm.... what is tropical snakewood? i live in miami florida which is about as tropical as it gets.. lol...
i can't go chop any today but i am off tomorrow and will do my best to go...
what i was told is snakewood has a weird almost camo pattern to the bark.. very heavy and dense.. a sapling 7' x 2" is surprisingly heavy...
i brought a sapling to Parnell and he also was amazed at the weight of it..
