My first OSS trade bow was coffee , I backed it with spoonbill skins , gave another one to Jerry that I left too much sapwood on and was running out of heartwood , it had a little bit of a hinge in it but shot fine after heat treating , Jerry let a young man draw it back , the kid yanked it to about 30" and it blew , Jerry felt bad about it , said he didn't think about him yanking it back like that .
I did see your bow , yep leaning up against the big tree by the pond , Tommy and Mike didn't know who it belonged to at the time , I just caught a glimps of it as I walked by , I was too tired to pay any attention to it at the time , as wore out as I was I should have just watched the clout shoot.
