a little gathering at my house

last Saturday I was fortuate to have a few local guys come over to play in my workshop. Cody aka missile master, Greg aka perfectly bent and a new one to the mix Jeremy Holden aka Jeremy Holden. Jeremy contacted me a while back about looking for some info on some takedown sleeves. I told him I'd be more than glad to help out. so we all lined up a day and he came on down. Cody and Greg showed up purely for the comic relief. jeremy had some Hickory billets he wanted to use but I told him you should use Osage and lined a few up for him. the ones I had out for him were a little too small for the large sleeve so Cody being the guy he is pulled out a perfect health log for Jeremy to take a few bills from. Jeremy got the billets down to a ring and got the sleeves fit it up and we sent him on his way to get them glued up at home. it's always great hanging out with like minded people and these guys are top notch. I only took a couple pictures so maybe Greg will chime in with the few he took also. thanks for coming over guys. by the way Jeremy you left at Hickory at my house and it'll be waiting for you next time you come back.

It was another fun time over at Paul's shop for sure. Wood shavings for the wood stove all day long, lots of shooting too and Paul's smoked pork shoulder for lunch, what a way to spend a saturday. Lucky to have a few of us close enough to get together and spend a day doing what we enjoy, thanks for having us over again Paul, looking forward to more of these saturdays in the future.
Oh and thanks to you and Cody for helping me though a near crisis on a special bow, I think its gonnq finish up nice now.

Looks like a good time.  There has been 4 to 8 of us getting together every Thursday night for about 3 years now working on bows, making arrow shafts and letting me get my flint knapping practice in.
