When to Heat Treat?

I'm currently working a hackberry pyramid bow, and am not quite to floor tiller. My question is, when is the proper time to heat treat the belly?

I like to heat treat when I am drawing the bow about 20 inches.  I redo it after I get it another 5 inches and sometimes after I get it to full tiller.  Hackberry wood works great for heat treatments and smells good too!

I prefer to temper once and I prefer to do it after a good floor tiller.

I've only done it a few times, I like doing it after low brace. If you need to correct any string alignment or twist issues it's worth it to try and do it all at once
