Been working a knotty snakey mulberry sapling. 2-1/4 diameter. 68" long. Been reading in the popular archery literature and can't find much info on approaching belly knots. How severely can you violate them? Iv left all the knots on the back tall and proud. It's reduced to rough dimensions and the belly knots have islands of material left on them too for now. There are 3-4 knots on both the belly and back of each limb, so total 6-8 knots per limb. Do you cut straight through them (belly side) and pretend they're not there when tillering?
