My 1st-Bamboo backed Osage W/Ipe core tri-lam
« on: March 11, 2015, 12:35:49 pm »
Hello All,

This is my first post on this forum. Been a long time follower though. I wanted to post some picks of my first bow (that hasn't broken) that I just finished up last night. Tell me what you think. I think it looks a little stiff on the top limb near the fades.

Welcome to PA! Nice bow and good pics. I think the tiller looks pretty good. I agree it looks a little stiff at that too fade but if it shoots good to us I wouldn't change a thing.

Looks fine to me. The unbraced pics of bows really tell the story. Yours looks great.

Wow, one of the best first bows I've seen.  Welcome to PA, look forward to seeing what you come up with in the future.

Welcome to PA Sean. I think you did good and especially for your first. R/D bows can be hard to see good tiller but I think you did good.

Looks great to me.  Nice smooth fades, too.  My first one sure didn't look like that. :)

Thanks guys for all the kind comments. I owe to to all the pics of bows you guys have posted on the website for me to look at. I really wasn't quite sure how the full draw profile should look since its so short(60" ntn, 62" overall) I think I'm just lucky ;D. It does shoot well so I think I'll leave the stiff upper fade alone for now. We'll see how it looks after a couple hundred arrows. This is my first longbow ( I normally shoot a recurve) and I'm surprised how accurate I can shoot it off my hand.

Great curves!  One to be proud of.
