Ta' guys.
Pat,
The uprights are beat, (the rhythm)
Bada ba da da da
Bada ba da da da which comes in first for about 8 bars, although I've cut it down to 2 else the sculpture would be too long

.
The sweep of Yew is the sax, melody.
I'm not very musical so I struggled a bit working it out... got some help from the musical side of the family. I also tapped out the beat on a mic' hooked up to an oscilloscope at work so I could see it

The blobs on the top of the uprights are the accentuated beat, the
Ba the brass verticals are more stacato sax that appears later.. about 10 foot further along

There's a couple of blue notes in there to hold up the Yew

One of the hard things is knowing when to stop adding stuff... less is more sometimes.
I did some sketches and a model first (pic attached).
It was fun to make, a bit like one of those kids toys, sticking pegs into holes and threading beads on to 'em... it gave me a break from making bows, as the last one I did was a real pig, a BBY ELB that needed loads of repeated sideways correction before it would settle down and come back straight.
