First points of this year
« on: March 08, 2015, 07:48:06 pm »
The weather finally got nice to find the pit under the snow and sit down and break some rock. Nothing fancy and nothing broke ;D It doesn't look like it but they are both Indiana hornstone.

Nice, Tracy, but hurry and get them out of the white stuff.

Thanks guys! Mullet, snow should be gone today :D

I'll be thinking about you cowboy on my next rock run. I'll see if I can find some of the tan variety for you to try.

Good flaking pattern, you can really see it on the tan one.  That one looks like a hunter for sure.

Man I'd like to get back up in that draw but a pipe dream for me I'm sure. The farthest up I went where the creek petered out there were round rocks all in the ground but I had no time or tools to dig with. Nice memory though  :'(.

Thanks guys! Oh, I'm sure I'll be breaking some soon enough and I'm getting low on hornstone. Rock run next weekend!
