string wax.

Could somebody out there give me a ratio for beeswax and pine resin. I want to make some string wax. Thanks Timothy

I use 100% bees wax, no mixing.

I have a buddy at work that raises bees, he gives be a fist sized ball of wax , still got some honey in it, i use it just like that

When I used to wax strings,  I used beeswax straight.

I've been using straight beeswax.  Just wanted to try the mix. I guess if it ain't broke dont fix it.  I got the resin to make a waterproofing concoction for my bows. Resin, beeswax, turpentine and boiled linseed oil.  I think. I'll have to recheck that. I wanted to use tru-oil and beeswax to finish my stuff.

Hehe thats why I said when I USED to wax strings. I dont wax fast flight and thats all I use anymore.

Not what you were asking for but the best string wax combo, particularly if you make strings is a pound of beeswax and one wax toilet bowl ring melted together.

You can mix the two (rosin and wax) but keep the rosin minimal.  It makes the wax crumbly.  And as for waxing fast-flight, the stuff I have comes waxed already.  When I use spectra, it comes unwaxed but I do use a little beeswax in the beginning to keep the stands together.
