bamboo bow string?

With a short bamboo bow from India I had gotten a one strip bamboo string.
I never had shot the bow with that string but I shot it with a linen string.
The bamboo strip string has  a special tied loop knoted to the bamboo on each end. The lopp isn't out of bamboo I think, it is may be hemp, flax, jute or something similiar.

Next Week I will be at my old house and will have a look to this string....

Here are some detail pics.
The bamboo string is a very thin stripe of bamboo.
The bow is about 50 inches long and pulls 35 pounds at 20" draw length.
The arrows for the bow are very small bamboo sticks.

I used to be interested earlier about the bamboo string and then I had it in my hands on a bow imported from New Guinea. I've never heard of bamboo fibers knitting a string - but always just a strip of chipped bamboo (similar to the video) - but importantly, fresh - not dried and then smoked over the smoke from the fire I don't know more details about how long and so on - but that's the process. This will make the bamboo strip softer and more flexible. It has less tendency to tear or break.Good luck.
