A couple things he opened my eyes too, tillering by feel. My bows hit the tree probably over 50 times, and I take and study just as many photos.
We put my bow on a stick twice, he could just pick my bow up, look at it, feel it, and tell me where to take some scrapes, and he was always right.
Final tiller was him watching me shoot it, and a few more scrapes.
And my jaw hit the floor when he bent my recurves after a 5 minute steam
