Flake Points
« on: January 30, 2015, 10:55:15 am »
In this series of photos I have taken pictures of what I started with and what I ended with.  The pressure flaking was done with aluminum nail.  Although I did use a copper shearing tool.  I used a horse shoe nail for notches.

Thanks WA, I was just messing around.

I forgot to mention the points made are straight, no bending points. I was inspired by the only two arrowheads I have ever found. They were even smaller then these.

Fine points.   Look like they could use a little cane & feathers.

Those look real good.  I had the exact same blood blister about a month ago.  Same exact spot.

Thanks guys,  I'll have to haft some of these. Sorry about the late replay, I've been building bows, I'm putting to get her a build along.

Parnell, one blood blister is from flintknapping and the other is from taking the sap wood from a Osage stave.
