This is a bow I made out of two billets, I tried to go for a short and fast hunting bow.
The Bow is 61'' long and it really packs a punch. I did not heat treat this bow, because I like a little set on short recurves, in my opinion it makes the bow more controllable for its size.
the back stain is made with two different woodstains, I tried to make an elegant camouflage, snakeskins are very expensive here
the handlewrap is hempcord, arrowrest and tips are made out of buffalo horn.
I hollowed the ends a little, to give the string a better follow down the recurve.
the bow is asymetric the top limb is 1 1/2 inches longer, which makes it balance about half an inch under the arrowrest.
As for shooting, It is pretty easy to shoot and forgiving, while still being very fast.
Specs are
61 inches long
62 pounds a 27 inches
I hope you like it!
