Beautiful bow, I started one similar 3 years ago.  My sinew popped off because I didn't decrease the osage well enough.  I haven't worked on it since.  Your bow has inspired me to get back on that horse.  Thanks.

since I prepare my bow backs with oven cleaner spray, I have no problems.
I assume the sinew popped of in one layer, soak it for a day in water and apply it again in one piece. I've done that recently on the little plains bow I've posted a while ago. Good luck on your project.

Man Simon that is one killer bow brother, I love every single detail and the bow as a whole. I just have to try a bow build like that someday after seeing this, and if it comes out half that nice I'd be quite happy and satisfied. Thanks for posting all the pictures, I really like looking at all the details.

Oh no, Greg, I know your skills . You will make it at least as good as mine for sure! But thanks brother.

Two layers (520 + 450grain) measured is the shredded dry stuff. made a little sketch for you below, Flipped tips: I hope to get two inches more draw out of this bow when shot in, then it will make more sense.

All: thanks I appreciate all of your fine comments!

Very nice bow indeed. It's always a pleasure to look at your bows you display very good woodsmanship and you can work in every  aspect of bows, wether it's primitive, modern, fast, long, short ,etc...    doesn't matter, they are always one of the best,
and that makes looking at your Bows always a pleasure!

excellent bow Simson. Your sinew job is perfect so is the tiller. I like the paint and the way you got super creative on the ground minerals too.  Danny

Amazing craftmanship. Makes my bows look like a monkey with a bad hair day made 'em  ;D

How thick is the bow in cross-section at its thickest point (apart from the handle)?

Thanks again boys! your too kind!
meanwhile I have shot in that stick, did make some tiller adjustments at the sides and squeezed out a good more inches of drawlength. also painted the sides in a dark blue ........ I will take some pics when the weather gets better!
