Hey everyone, here is another one of my recent bows, a little more straight forward than my other thread.  65ntn, 72# Irish yew, rawhide backed, horn tip, tempered belly.  No noticeable set.  More pull than I can handle, but I'll work my way up to it.

Nicely done. By Irish yew do you mean European yew from Ireland or landscape yew referenced to in TBB vol.4 or are they same thing?

Hmm landscape yew, most likely the botanical version called Irish yew.  I'm only guessing because it grew in my driveway when I lived in Germany.  Thicker rings too, maybe 10-20 per inch.The landlord wanted them cut so when the cutters came I had them save me all the big stuff.  This was when I was 16 and dumb, still using fishing line for strings haha.  Most sources say its quite inferior, which must mean english or pacific yew is awesome, because this stuff worked well too.  Part of the reason why I backed it.  Responded quite well to heat treatment.

Very nice looking tiller on this one two. At 72 lbs I bet it spits the arrows out.

Ya I can't wait to strengthen up and be comfortable with it, shoots the arrows very straight.
