My latest two bows
« on: January 21, 2015, 08:27:32 pm »
One is of red oak and its at 45#@28 inches and shoots like a dream. The other is made from fir. Thats very experimental and a hassle to dry out. Turned in at about 30# @ 28 inches. Shoots arrows like a torpedo ill give it that.
i need nothing but my old bow and arrows.

Its a good idea to post an unbraced, braced and full draw picture of any bow. A good side profile shot so everybody can see how the bow is bending.

Do you know what kind of fir? Douglas Fir or one of the true firs?

Upload to imgur.com, post images with the image button and the direct link, never have to manually resize again ;)

Black locust. Black locust everywhere.
Mollegabets all day long.
Might as well make them short, save some wood to keep warm.
