knapping board and copper?

a guy on a archery site is asking about knapping using a board and a flattened piece of 1/2" copper. anyone have any info on this technique?

I seen a video of one being used one time the guy was using slabs with it.
I think one of my flint knapping books had it in also.

I use a board with different size grooves cut in with a rubber lining on top with the grooves cut into it also for running long, controlled flakes on slabs.

Found it. The guy was asking about the "Ronco chip-o-matic that is shown in the Bowyers Bible, volume 3, page 320.
