Black Walnut Bow

Here is a Black Walnut bow I made this summer but wasn't happy with it so I retillered it. It now pulls 55# @ 26". It is 65" tip to tip. There is a pretty substantial knot right at the fade in the lower limb so that fade is longer than the top, making the lower limb 1.5 inches longer than the top limb. I wasn't happy with how it shot when it was au 60 pound bow. Now it is the nicest shooting bow I have made to date. It ended up with about an inch of string follow. I thought about heat treating but after shooting it I decided to leave it as is. The handle is finished with a repurposed purse

Very nice little bow! How was Walnut to work with? I have a few staves of it and thinking about using one for a Franken bow I need to make. Patrick
