new elm bow.

Hey all, here's a. New 66" ttt,60#@ 27 elm.1-3/16ths @ the handle to skinny tips.horse hide wrap.rosewood rest, king wood tips, finished with red and black rit dye with a couple coats of poly and is a pleasure to shoot.have about a hundred shots thru her (pretty darn cold) thanks for looking!

How thick are the limbs? You got about twice the weight out of that width that I have ever gotten. Did the stave have a lot of reflex? Did you toast the belly?

Yes Jim, the stave had a good bit of natural reflex,medium heat treating and a hair under 3/4" thick for the limbs.ii was going more for kinda d section with a slightly convex belly.i weighed it on a digital luggage scale. The draw feels the part.

Beautiful elm bow. Very appealing lines. The dark stain is rich looking and still shows the nice feathering of the grain on the belly. Do you have a close up of the back at mid limb? Oppps! I see the pic of the back. Thanks.
