Things to look at
« on: January 06, 2015, 11:21:51 am »
I was playing around in garage and knapped this point.  It had some big stacks from percussion so i tried to chip them off.  It left the typical gauges in the point. The flint is Edwards Chert.     The knife flint is from the Frio river in central Tx.  I picked up about 50 lbs while on a family tubing trip.   Epoxied the blade, for strength, efficiency, and to save length.

That knife is nice. Good chipping and nice hafting. We should get a knappin going for this area. I think we could get a group of at least 4-5. We could do it at my house or wherever the group wishes.

Thanks for the compliments.  WA, you got my brain working.  I'm already thinking of places to host the Knapp-in.
