Draw length ain't what it used to be!
« on: January 08, 2015, 07:42:51 pm »
Recollection is that my draw length was 26", but haven't actually measured for years.  Today stuck piece of cardboard on a arrow and strung several of the bows.   Good grief ... I'm shrinking!  Draw is definitely no more than 24"!  Am reminded of Paul Simon's "Kodachrome" tune.
... alone in distant woods or fields, in unpretending sproutlands or pastures tracked by rabbits, even in a bleak and, to most, cheerless day .... .  I suppose that this value, in my case, is equivalent to what others get by churchgoing & prayer.  Hank Thoreau, 1857

I ain't as good as I remember, but then I never was!

Can you still hit anything when you need to???  That's the important question.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

What did Toby Keith sing ?   I ain't as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was !
He who sacrifices freedom for a security deserves neither one.  Benjamin Franklin!
