Buffalo hunting points
« on: December 15, 2015, 01:32:32 pm »
Well, at least made from TN Buffalo chert. >:D
I might try these out on some rabbits or a deer
if I had enough time to practice.  O:)The pressure flaking is
more pleasent since my guts don't hurt as much now. :)
A really fun lithic to knap. ;)

You gents are to kind. :)
I do my best to replicate Native work.
If you all know about the Duck River stuff
you may know that the Buffalo River is
in the same area. I have collected there
in the early days.
Here are some of my real abo hunting points from
where I grew up in NJ.

BTW this buffalo is heat treated but has a high
degree of integrity imo.

Thank you Rob,
Back in 1962 I was froze enough to lay down in the snow
to happily expire. My older brother that kicked my butt almost
daily used the same tactics to save my life.
You and all the posse that have prayed for me have helped in
a similar way. Yeah, I did 2 miles through the cedars today
after knapping that cake chert.
BTW have you had any luck with the obsidian and jasper?
