I got it done finally. The bow is an Ipe bow backed with Bamboo with half an inch of reflex right after shooting, the tips and arrowrest are made from camelbone (which is really tough to work on!)and the handle is made of yew.  I wanted to build a short and still precise bow. The bow is very fast in my opinion and Ipe is really lovely stuff to work on especially using planes. The paintings on the back are done with normal wood stain. I learned a lot from this bow since it is my first bamboo backed Ipe bow and I must say accept for the red hands, I really like working with Ipe.
I hope you'll like the bow. :)

Specs:
65 inches long
67 pounds at 27 inches
614 g / 21.67 oz heavy

greetings from Germany

Johannes

Thats a realy nice bow! I love the handle. I too love working with ipe..  one of the woods I trust the most. I too am about to start a BBI soon, never worked with bamboo befor.

Did you flatten the bamboo with a belt sander or with hand tools?

Tiller is looking better but maybe a hint of a hinge in the mid-outer upper limb?
