A Few More Of My Carvings.
« on: December 16, 2014, 07:45:27 pm »
I posted three of these earlier, but they weren't finished.  All done now.  The first is sourwood, he is setting on my mantle right now.

On the next one I was playing around with a different expression on his face.  He is pouting about something.  On sourwood.

The next two are sycamore walking sticks.  I stained the hair some and then went back over and lightened it some.

     Well
d'uh!  Hello!  It's SOUR-WOOD!
Pretty cool!  You need to make some more carvings in the woods again.  This time make them as warnings, and have them pointing to the sky, with terrified looks on them, and have one, burnt, as though it was zapped by an UFO, and a couple looking at it, with a horrified expression! ;) ;D ;D  Sorry, I just think like that sometimes.  Just my warped sense of humor. ::) :P  But if you do, put out some hidden trail cameras, to catch peoples expressions, when they see them. ;) ;D

Oh yeah, this coming from someone who carves birds, and bears!  Yeah, right, Rich.

Thanks again.  Bubby the sycamore carves pretty good but when you cut it green, debark it and seal it for drying.  Bark sets up like cement.
