Osage & hackberry harvest photos
« on: November 22, 2014, 08:59:17 am »
This was yesterdays work, about 7 osage logs worth. Have about 8 more osage logs to split into staves today plus the hackberry logs.
This would be considered a small amount of work for the Outlaw Man, but it sure kicked my butt. ;)  I did send a message to Clint asking how to handle splitting the bigger log and he advised me on the finer art of log splitting.  Basically he said just don't swing the maul like a girl.  ;D ;D
Got about 20 splits of osage yesterday some of which will be split further into more staves. Heading back there in a bit to start on the rest,
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

Good luck to ya today!

That's a nice bunch of Osage Greg. I sure wish we had that up here. Is that whole row of trees Osage? I would probably work myself to death trying to get ALL of it.

Nice score Greg. Those look like nice ones for sure. Now the work really begins, what with the debarking and such.   Danny

Looks like you handled those logs with ease Greg.  That's some good looking osage.  The sapwood looks pretty thick.  Have fun getting that off  ;D  Thanks for posting the pictures.  Makes me want to go out and cut some wood.
