Crowned Osage Orange Bow Question

I have a really nice piece of osage orange that is 57 inches. It has a crowned back.
Is that a really good thing or not? I have heard of decrowning but I followed the back ring and it is perfect.
Recommendations?

Osage can handle a high crowned back. Just keep the belly flat. I've never decrowned a bow stave and never intend to. Seems like a waste of good bow wood to me.  If I want a backed bow I'll use a board.
