 Dave, Looks like your persistence paid of nicely. I like the profile, and had been thinking about that combination as well. It has to have good "numbers". I have bellied a couple bows with ipe which doubled the poundage and increased the mass by less than a third so there are some good benefits to this technique..

Boy, its a bit labor intensive though.  The belly strip glue up paticularly. I had it on the first time and didn't like how iit was looking and yanked it off half way through drying.  Had to sand it all of again, but the second time was the charm.  I wrapped it at a few strategic locations on the handle and limbs with fine hemp cord to suppress any desire to delaminate during tillering.
