Here is the remnants of the knot that made me cut in the shelf. It was nasty looking. Xnow it just adds character to the pass.

An expert I am most assuredly not. I traded this bow with Patrick. With his help we got the tiller to come around. Lost about 3 pounds of weight but it looks better. I expect he will be posting pics of it when he is done dressing it up. His finish work is amazing.

Turned out good considering the blunder.. "Came out 45#@28".  3 inches of set, one inch string follow. "  how does it shoot with all that set..?  Just asking becasue I have one bow that does not hit that strong or quick and it took about 2" of set.

By 3 inches of set I mean this: I reflexed the tips two inches back. After being shot in, they stayed one inch towards the belly. The two iches of reflex I lost plus the one inch string follow ( result of set ) equal 3 inches. Honestly,  performance wise, its an average bow, nothing terrible about it in speed or anything.  Where the set is on your bow may be hurting more than the fact it has set. 2 inches is acceptable.

Hey sleek, thanks for the compliment bud! And don't sell your self short, this little bow is more than average! The tiller was off a bit but I enjoyed working with you on it to get it lined out. I love the bow and I will be working on it a good deal. I have an awesome surprise in mind for the finishing touches. Patrick
