Nicholson #49

When did Nicholson move production to Brazil and Mexico?

I lost my #49 and was going to buy another one, but they are expensive, thats okay if they were made in USA.
Tired of my money going everywhere but home.

A little late but a few months ago a guy was selling new old stock #50s and a few #49s for $20 shipped on eBay. I bought  a couple, one for me and a friend, American made.

One thing I learned after buying a new one was just how dull my old 49 and 50 was after making 150 bows plus with each of them. Time to send my old rasps to the sharpening place to be refurbished.

I have heard some folks are sending their new Brazilian made 49s and 50s to be sharpened right off so they will be the same quality as the old American made ones.

I did a little google searching and came across a #49 for $28, not too bad.
