pic for Mullet, with extra turkey calls up for trade
« on: October 28, 2014, 10:49:44 am »
Mullet contacted me to make a trade for one of my turkey calls. So Eddie gets first pic, the other 3 are available for trade. I could use some cane or bamboo shafts, preferably straightened.

Here's what I have available Eddie. 2 eastern red cedar calls- 1 slate, 1 aluminum. 1 black walnut-slate, and the butternut is aluminum. I'll be making some strikers later today. Let me know which you would prefer.

I don't think I could say no to any of 'em.  Poor Eddie, having to pick one and leave three behind.  Be like him to find something to trade for the rest too!  Then he's really stuck because he STILL has to make a decision because the poor man only has two hands!   >:D

Butternut Aluminum sounds good to me.

Makes me wonder how a butternut aluminum slate would sound to a Black Hills Merriam's gobbler at dawn? Get practiced up on those Oseola stilt-legs down there and them bring it up here for a test run!

JW, my problem this year is going to be able to get the time off. I'm on week #6 off of work and still have at least 2 more to go. Therapist threw me for a loop yesterday when she said she wanted at least 12 weeks, twice a week. I'm only on week 3 with here.

The red cedar, second from the bottom is spoken for as well. That leaves 2 left.

JW, sounds like you need one too. ;)

Dave; if there are any left when I get back, I'm sure I could come up with something for them ;D.

I've got enough supplies to make about 15 calls. I can make more, but I've been busy lately making deer grunt calls. My latest deer grunt call is posted in the Christmas trades in progress post. Just say the word and I'll make us some more.

Cool calls. Me and my daughter just made some wing bone turkey calls from goose wing bones.

Dave, I would be interested in one of your grunt calls. Don't know what I would have to trade but maybe we could figure something out. Patrick

Scott, here's a pic of 3 that are going out soon. aluminum is black, the gray surface is slate, along with a few strikers.

Patrick, I'll post up a couple grunt calls soon for trade. I'm sure we could work something out.
