Ya know, I think that using sister snakey billets like that makes for a well-balanced bow.  My thinking is that since it has symmetrical curves, all of the weird off-center forces end up equal and opposite.  Therefore, it can end up balanced overall, and shoot perfectly smoothly.  That's my theory, anyway.

Thanks for all the kind words you guys!  It really means a lot!  Pappy taught me everything I know about handling a stave like this so I give him credit for giving me the know how to tame this beast. He is the true snakebow master!

Blackcoyote- those are the natural skins. I just glued em on :)

Pearly- yes I like em in the 40# range. I can shoot em better, lord knows I need all the help I can get on that front.

That has got to be one of the sweetest looking character bows I have ever seen…….  That one has BOM written all up and down those curves! Great job!

Wow, will that is the nicest snakey I have seen. That curves are really crazy. I know how hard it can be to bring that snake in balance.
You have done a pretty cool job with great detail work!
Congrat on that bow! A winner.

Holy cow!!!! Awesome looking bow.  Love the way the skin ends while following into the wiggly point.  Exceptionally well done.  Russ
