guys here make bamboo floor bows all the time, super easy. even I made a good one first try (it was my first ever). they do take a little more set but they work fine. you need a backing tho we have found. real bamboo or anything. i leterally roughed it out with a band saw and tillered it with a power sander. backed it with fiberglass drywall tape. probably the easiest stuff to work with ever.

Used it for a belly before under a bamboo backing and it worked pretty well but it was only 35#, Mirkwood replica from LOTR  :-[
What thickness did you use? I want about a 35 pound draw weight. I see 3/8 and 5/8 flooring. did you sand off the finish. What kind of glue? Thanks
