Figured some of you might appreciate this... (it's not for everybody's tastes!)
There's a guy who's taken thin slices of a tree trunk, and put them on a record player. The record player uses a camera to "follow" the growth rings, and translate them into audio. The clip on the website is an ash tree. Pretty stunning, I think.
