« on: September 30, 2014, 09:13:07 pm »
Not making bows lately but ya know how that goes. Was gifted a very nice osage stave by a fellow member and before cutiing out some staves I split off a little sliver from the side (believe I will get 4 bows from the stave, 5 if ya count this one.

Nothing fancy, osage 48" 52# @25" and needs to have the tiller slightly tweeked but thout ya might like a peek.

PS call it pipe wrench so I dont forget where it came from, nice folks out there in Long Island

I gotta say, you are a master at the shortie bows.  I have been blown away with every one of these toothpick bows that you make. I wish I had half the skill you do.  I have been wanting a short bow with practically those exact specs, unfortunately I don't have the skill or the material to make a beauty like that.  Someday I'll be able to make one myself!

Thanks for the nice comments. Tracy, I'm sure it will do the job, DC....Dont want to think about feathers till tomorrow >:D, Blob, I know a fella that's finishing up a "real" deer killin shorty, I think it's maybe his 2-3 bow and it's a work of art man.

Thanks again,
rich

Looks like your tillering eye didn't lose it's focus while you took a break to do a little carving rich.
Nice little bow with good draw weight and draw length for it's size, got any pics of the back profile?
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

I like seeing these short bows. Makes me want to keep around some of the "too short" pieces I have laying around.

Sweet bow, Rich, and nice bend, as usual!  ;)
