Been forever, checking back in
« on: September 25, 2014, 11:57:05 pm »
I know its been forever, but I finally have a free moment and i wanted to share what I've been up to. between my college studies, and my lovely better half, i haven't had much time for much of anything, but here's a few things i have finished. hope you like them :) as always, comments, questions, or suggestions are welcome and encouraged :) here they are

Hickory English Longbow, leather handle, ivory arrow pass. Draws 79 pounds at 29 inches. sweet shooter, very quiet.

Hickory Quasi-Penobscot bow, 60 pounds draw at 29 inches, pistol grip handle. shoots well, but really just made because they look so cool :)

hope you like them! :)
My Longbow in one hand, My Colt 1860 Army in the other, and both feet in the past.

I got a friend that always invites himself over to my house whenever he buys a new gun.  He unloads it, racks the slide or whatever several times to be conspicous about safety and hands it to me.  I look it over, make the usual comments and hand it back.  He reaches out with and wraps the gun in a handkerchief saying, "Thanks, always helpful to have a second set of prints, ya know?"   :o

I'm telling you this to make a point.  Make sure she keeps up building bows with you.  Always handy to be able to blame the sawdust and woodchips in the carpet on another set of shoes!!!   >:D >:D >:D
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.
