Eddie, the guy we went with is having a hard time keeping up with demand and definitely needs to expand his business.
It is absolutely a growing trend.  So far, I'm very happy and am really looking forward into making it what I want.  Heck, with the generator I've got that I'm settin up out there, I've got my hurricane proof hideaway.

You could buy 5-6 of these for hardly any money and build a fortress.  I'd partially bury them for insulation.  Be pretty easy to get off the grid with 'em.

A few years ago there was a video on the net of someone building their Mountain getaway in NC. They buried two of the real long ones side by side and then connected them from the inside. The transformation as they built it was amazing to watch.

They're such a good idea that our city council banned them inside city boundaries. ::) ::) ::)

Same thing is going down here, DC.  When I was getting the prints for mine passed the licensing office started putting out a notice that they are suspending applications for these.
Is it possible to fix stupid?  I think not... ::)

Watched the vids. Awesome! Are you still going to put the observation deck on top? Heck, on top would be a great place to put a knapping pit along with the small deck.

Up here people completely get around any and all codes by building on a base with wheels. Then it counts as a non-permanent mobile structure.
 People build miniature hoses in backyards with this loophole.
 Be interesting to see how long they can get away with that though.
