I'm jealous too. Too bad they used tamarack and cedar for posts where I come from, nobody has ever heard of the word Osage around here, except me. The Osage tree I planted in my backyard will be ready for my successor(s).

Lol, she actually was the one who insisted we make the trip. She didn't have the slightest problem keeping up with me moving these big logs around.

I was a bit skeptical when I saw the first pictures of the badly weathered wood but the butt ends show a bunch of usable osage. Osage always has a surprise waiting for you inside, seldom good, I suspect you will find a lot of such when you work down the wood. There are definitely a few bows residing in your wood.

Well, there's good news and bad news. The bad is that the log I split has some twist in the staves. The good news is that they all have some snake to them. I'll take it! Lol :)
