Not upset at all Stix, like Pat B said just expressing my oppion, you ask remember. :) Everyone draws their own lines, that is what make this stuff so cool,to each their own. Now and then I get someone trying to force their views and convictions on me,that is when you will see me upset. ;) :) :) :) Now lets go set up some arrows, season starts in a week. :)

I got aluminum, carbon, and wood and bamboo shafts. My self bow shoots the wood and bamboo the best. The bamboo has bone nocks and have stone points because I'm trying to shoot a deer this year with a stone point. I'll shot whatever flies good.

just make sure the fletching have a helical twist. Or they fly poorly

Not true my friend. Poor spine, poor form and bent arrows cause poor arrow flight. I have plenty of straight fletched bullets around the shop.
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

I don't use Helical on any of mine, haven't for many years, just didn't see the need once I learned to tune the arrow to the bow. :) :)

My JoJan Multi-fletch is straight so I just offset the feathers, either left or right depending of the side the feathers came from.

I use all home made wood /stone and now some trade points. Just because I'm doing this on the cheap. And really enjoy making all the stuff. Ed

Generally my arrows have no helical as well.  I used to use trade points but for the last few years it's been all stone with self nocks
