make your own draw knife

Made this from an old circular saw blade in about. A half-hour and works better than the flex cut one i was using
why buy it when you can build it

I made this from mild steel. I really like it because its only semi sharp and partially dull............ :P ::) :P so I don't go and gouge out the piece of wood.

Tykes works well. I used it a bit yesterday when he brought it over to show me. Too bad I dropped $100 on 2 already.

      Cheap to make, quick and if you don't overheat while grinding an edge you don't need to heat treat it. I started off making my knives out of saw blades that I shaped with a Dremmel and cut off wheels. It became a source of pride when I could cut out a profile with just one wheel (1" dia.). No problem to get shaving sharp. Well done.
