The city I work for borders the city I live in. A half acre lot in the city I work for sells for $270,000. Just for the lot.

That really stinks bro, but I think your head is in the right place in making wise decisions.  Too bad they are looking for so much, but hey, maybe they won't find someone willing to bite and they'll back down to something more reasonable for you?

We been lookin at places to buy last couple days and wow! I been outa the loop to long.. It really is a buyers market right now. Found 2 places so far i really like in the $70's  ;D...and within minutes of where i am now  ;).... Brian

Looked at 10 acres(prolly 6 in woods) today with a small country house plus another home that i could rent out to some one :)... Has a 24'x30' shop with concrete floor, heat,air, and plumbing(sweet!) plus about a 1 acre pond. Several fruit trees and a great garden spot. The woods look to be alot of old growth hickory and oak with a couple a good draws for game funnels 👍... Now to talk the wifey into it..not exactly her dream home but its nice... did i mention its only $80k  :o... Brian

I got to walk the 10 acres today... Really diggin it and it turns out one of the wifey's cousins owns it...thats handy, lol.... Brian
