Hey guys, Finished up this Osage just in time for archery season. I wanted to take a new bow this year so I banged this one out pretty fast. This was the nicest osage stave I’ve ever worked with. The 20 + year old stave was very straight, had tiny bit of prop, and only one knot. I decided to name the bow One Knot”. It measures 60” grove to grove and finished 57#@27. It has about a 1 ½” reflex at rest and takes about ¾” of string follow. It took a inch of set during tillering. I’m really pleased with the way it shoots and can’t wait to take it to the stand in a few weeks. I put black snake skins on it with 8 coats of tru-oil. The tip overlays are ipe and ebony, Leather grip, and b-50 string.
