While hiking the river bottoms today, down by the city park, I ran across a Treasure Trove of freshly trimmed American Elms.
But the City had not cut them up into small sections yet.

Luckily I carry a saw, some wedges, a small sledge and a bottle of TBIII when I go hiking.

So,,, me being "frugal" and all, I split out a few staves and brought them home.
I yanked the bark and smeared glue over the backs and ends.
I have never worked with any elm species before.
My question is, what types of bow designs work well with American Elm / Ulmus American???
Target is 50@28 once they cure.
