Glue for glue in points?

Believe it or not, you Phoenicians have more humidity down there than up in Flagstaff.  Out here in Kayenta, I've noticed the air might have a tad more humidity than Flagstaff. Could be the thinner air at the higher altitude has something to do with the properties of glue.

Yup! Air density varies with altitude, and moisture content along with it. Believe it or not, high mountain peaks covered with snow...usually  have bone-dry air.
Have you tried coating the metal to wood joint with some kind of sealer? Maybe wipe on poly or something.... just a thought.

Ferr L tite since the 60's.  Must have put hundreds of points and heads on with that stuff when working in my dads archery shop. Just make sure you clean out the inside of the point/head with some acetone on a Q-tip.  Sometimes there is oil residue inside the points .   Heat the point up good, glue on the shaft and you should be good to go.

I actually do this when I use epoxy to glue tips. I apply enough epoxy that some squeezes out when I push the tip on. I wipe this squeeze-out material off with a paper towel and at the same time I wipe it around the shaft so it coats any bare wood from the tip tapering.
