Flight arrows

Badger:
Ivar made a post of facebook, a 236 grain arrow hit 252 fps and his 193 grain arrow hit 299 fps. 40 grains off arrow weight made a difference of speed of 47 fps. This is with a 65# bow. When you get into that 3 or 4 grains per pound range small changes in weight make large differences in speed.

Kviljo:
I suspect this is mainly due to the shortness of the limbs of this bow. It is only 41 inches between the nocks, which will give it a lot of speed with very lightweight arrows. I bet there is not as much to gain by choosing a lighter arrow for longer bows.

- which tells me we should probably experiment with 40-inch long, wide limbed wooden bows.

Lukasz Nawalny:
My engineer friend have made great program special for flight archery. Entertain for example temperaturę, air pressure, wind, type of bow, arrow speed, arrow diameter, fletching and give answer in % how compare arrow to bow
