The wood pile is huge, so its time I traded some off for other things I need.
This small diameter tree was cut in may in the coastal mountains. After 2
months I sawed it in half, and the other side made a longer stave. Roughed out the sides with a hatchet, no twist in the grain.
Its 54.5" long, 2" thick on one side, 1 3/4" on the other. About 2.5-3" wide. 25-30 RPI. Nice colour.
About 1/4" sapwood, and feels like a really solid piece of wood. Some cool character in it, but probably not
a beginners stave.
Im looking for some of the following.
-nice matched sets of snake skins
-backstrap sinew, or processed sinew
-finished stone point sets, or knife blades.
Im relatively new here, Ive only traded with loefflerchuck, but Im sure he'd vouch for me.
Im open to hearing other offers too. cheers guys
a patch of those little nibbly twigs that are in yew often, not usually a problem if handled right.
